Recently i have grown a massive interest in European design and a lot of european graphic design studios have grabbed my attention that i would love to work for.
These studios all work with this modern experimental almost post modernist graphic design style that you dont seem to find much over here in the UK. This is a design style that i have become really interested in and have tried to apply to work produced for university briefs. Hopefully i will find employment under a design studio somewhere like holland where i will be able to pursue using this design style and be allowed more freedom within briefs from clients.
Some examples of design studios that i would like to work for;
Anymade
Anymade Studio was founded in 2007 in the Czech Republic. During past years the studio evolved into a multifunctional platform whose activities combine various genres and fields, such as graphic design, photography, typography, illustration, video, motion design and sound. Anymade Studio members are Petr Cabalka, Filip Nerad and Jan Šrámek aka VJ Kolouch.
Drawswords
Amsterdam-based design studio Drawswords was founded in 2008 by graphic designer Rob van den Nieuwenhuizen (NL). The studio's work is characterized by visually strong, clear and refreshing content-based typographic solutions.
Studio Laucke Siebein
Studio Laucke Siebein is a design studio based in Amsterdam and Berlin. Its focus is on creative strategy, dynamic identities, graphic, book and web design within the scope of cultural and commercial projects.
Mainstudio
The Amsterdam-based graphic design agency 'Mainstudio' has been established by Edwin van Gelder in 2005. After graduating from from Utrecht School of the Arts in 2004, van Gelder founded Mainstudio and has worked under the name ever since. Mainstudio's projects include editorial design, books and visual identities for clients within architecture, art and fashion.
