Enterprise task 5 - PROPOSED POSITION STATEMENT

'Write 10 short but informative statements that identify your distinctive ‘positioning’ as a Graphic Designer. Your statements should consider your ambitions, skills and areas of creative interest in relation to the market, your clients, competition and possible collaborators and should be based on the information that you have collected in response to the set tasks.
You will need to compare a list of your skills and services against customer/client needs to those of yourcompetitors, this should help you determine how your company is unique.'

My positioning as a Graphic designer... well illustrator.

Hopefully when i come out of my degree i will have the skills and ideas ready be successful within the sort of design work which i wish to create. My ultimate ambition in life work wise would be to be a successful illustrator, that being mainly freelance work, setting up a website and  having the skills, ideas and credibility to create illustrations and make enough money to live off from selling my work. Also i would like to be well known enough within the industry for clients to contact me for work, asking me to create illustrations for things such as; magazines, advertisements, tshirts etc..
However within this area of work competition is massive, their are so many illustrators out their that are far far better that which i aspire to someday create work to a similar level, i feel even though their isnt really a limit to the amount of freelance work you do, the amount of illustrations you create and prints you sell and things like that, the commissioned work is what you would really need to get your name out their and to make a successful living and with the competition so high within illustration i can see this being very hard.

FINISH DIS.
